CAPTAIN JOSH HAMMOND
Captain Josh Hammond Owner of Automatic Sport Fishing. Josh Grew up in Arizona with a born passion to fish. He was always seeking adventure and looking for new fishing spots. During his younger adult years, flying was another great passion of his. Durning the middle of his flight training to become an airline pilot he decided to spend a summer in Maui, Hawaii. Josh was hooked! He found himself loving the waters and fishing that Hawaii had to offer so much he decided to make a career out of it. Josh has been professionally guiding fishing charters since 2012 in Hawaii and also has expanded Automatic Sport Fishing to Alaska and has never looked back. "My desire is to create a memorable experience that fosters a passion for fishing among all ages and skill levels".
CAPTAIN JUKKA HYYTIA
Born in Helsinki, Finland, Jukka developed a passion for fishing at a very young age. Some of his earliest memories are of fishing the freshwater lakes and rivers of Finland with his parents.
Jukka first came to the United States in 1985 and moved to California in 1990, eventually becoming a proud U.S. citizen.
After visiting Maui and the Hawaiian Islands, Jukka quickly fell in love with Maui and made the island his home in 2003.
That same year, he began working part-time in Lahaina Harbor as a deckhand on a fishing boat. What started as a part-time job soon became a full-time career and a lifelong passion. In 2010, Jukka became a captain.
Jukka is a humble and grateful person who truly appreciates every opportunity to take people out fishing. He brings a positive attitude, professionalism, and his best effort to every trip, always striving to make sure his guests have an incredible experience on the water.
He loves being on the ocean and doing what he loves most—fishing. Jukka takes pride in being professional, knowledgeable, and easy to communicate with. Most of all, he enjoys sharing his passion for the ocean and creating great memories for the people who fish with him.
